From time and time again, we will get into a “slump” where we feel lost or insecure about ourselves. We underestimate the strength we have in us and start to have self-doubt. That was exactly how I felt last week... I felt there was a missing piece of a puzzle from my life but what exactly was that missing piece? I am still figuring it out… I just wasn't myself and I felt “off”- almost bursting into tears in public a few days ago. Regardless of how I was feeling, every day I would still get up, dress up and show up to wherever I needed to be or do. The repetition of this cycle continues for as long as I wanted it to. However, it’s not a healthy cycle when I’m not feeling 100% content with my life. I’m over it. Something has to change.
At the end of the day if you aren't satisfied with something, change it. It is as simple as that. If you change nothing, nothing will change. Stop playing the victim that makes excuses.
"If you're having a horrible day, it's your fault. If you're having a good day, it's your fault."
You have the power. The power to change. Don't wait for something horrible to happen that you finally wake up and decide to make that change. Do it now. Just start.
Do remember that at this moment, every single one of us are exactly where we should be in life. Everything you choose to do, every single decisions you chose to make, have led you to where you are right now. Where you will be tomorrow will only be DIFFERENT, if you choose to make that change TODAY to do something different to what you have always been doing every single day prior to that. If you're happy with where you are at right now then kudos to you, but if you're not, don't sit around waiting for a miracle to happen. It's up to YOU to make that change.
You can make that choice to keep doing what you're doing and get the same result or take the little steps to get to where you want to be. It doesn't have to be a drastic change. Don't overwhelm yourself. Do something each day, little by little to reach your goal. You just have to make that choice to start.
My friend, Cali Jae has written up a post about starting your dreams today. Listening to her podcast had really motivated me to stop procrastinating and start working towards my goals. It was just what I needed to hear that day. You can read about it HERE.
So what is it going to be? Are you going to be that type that keep moaning and complaining about your life? Or are you going to be that person that strive for the best and make that change?
Hey lovelies! I attended the final designer runway show for the Melbourne Spring Fashion Week last Friday and it was so much fun! Spring is my favourite season and boy oh boy, are we in for a treat this season! The whole week, we were presented with Australia's finest, inspirational designers with their amazing design talent; showcasing romance, beauty, culture and rhythm of fashion. Woweee, a round of applause for their work of art!

Fashion week is a week to be adventurous and be a little experimental with your outfit choices. However because it was my first time going to a proper designer runway, I didn't want to go too over the top. I decided to dress comfortably and stay true to my own style.
For my outfit choice for the evening, I went with a simple bodycon dress with the contrasting white line detailing. I love how versatile this dress is, that I can dress it up or down. In this case, I dressed it up. Even though this outfit is very simple; with the wedged nude heels, satchel and accessories and the way I styled my hair, it just completes my look to be looking appropriate for the event.
Adding some bling to jazz up the outfit. How amazing is this gem by one of my favourite jewelry designers, SW?!
Oh dear! What was I thinking?! Squid Ink Risotto for dinner..Trust me though, it tasted better than it looks. After devouring this dish, I was left with a pair of black lips and slightly black stained teeth. Very pretty... Luckily, I wasn't on a date!
Stay tuned for my next post which I will be recapping the designer runway four show, sharing some of my favourite picks and what we will be expecting to see for the latest Spring/Summer collections!
UPDATE: I apologize that I won't be posting up the review of the show. Simply because it has been a little more than a week since the show and I wasn't 100% happy with the content after I have written it up. If you're still interested in reading the recap of the runway show, Brittany Steward writer at The Trend Spotter has written up a very well short and sweet review of the show. You can read it HERE.
What's a trend that you will be sporting this season?
