From time and time again, we will get into a “slump” where we feel lost or insecure about ourselves. We underestimate the strength we have in us and start to have self-doubt. That was exactly how I felt last week... I felt there was a missing piece of a puzzle from my life but what exactly was that missing piece? I am still figuring it out… I just wasn't myself and I felt “off”- almost bursting into tears in public a few days ago. Regardless of how I was feeling, every day I would still get up, dress up and show up to wherever I needed to be or do. The repetition of this cycle continues for as long as I wanted it to. However, it’s not a healthy cycle when I’m not feeling 100% content with my life. I’m over it. Something has to change.
At the end of the day if you aren't satisfied with something, change it. It is as simple as that. If you change nothing, nothing will change. Stop playing the victim that makes excuses.
"If you're having a horrible day, it's your fault. If you're having a good day, it's your fault."
You have the power. The power to change. Don't wait for something horrible to happen that you finally wake up and decide to make that change. Do it now. Just start.
Do remember that at this moment, every single one of us are exactly where we should be in life. Everything you choose to do, every single decisions you chose to make, have led you to where you are right now. Where you will be tomorrow will only be DIFFERENT, if you choose to make that change TODAY to do something different to what you have always been doing every single day prior to that. If you're happy with where you are at right now then kudos to you, but if you're not, don't sit around waiting for a miracle to happen. It's up to YOU to make that change.
You can make that choice to keep doing what you're doing and get the same result or take the little steps to get to where you want to be. It doesn't have to be a drastic change. Don't overwhelm yourself. Do something each day, little by little to reach your goal. You just have to make that choice to start.
