Halooo everyone! August has flown by like it's nobody's business and I'm not complaining. When August come to an end, you know what that means? Spring has sprung! I will be attending Melbourne Spring Fashion Week this coming Friday and eeeek! I got my dress a few of days ago and I'm ready for it babyyy. This month I have quite a  few skincare products to share with you guys. I love finding new skincare products to try out and always on the look out for ways to better my skin. I actually love doing my skincare regime day and night. Some would think of it as a chore but for me, I think it's very therapeutic. The early you start caring for your skin, the better you're going to aged. Without further ado, my first favourite product is..
Lanolips Golden Ointment
LANOLIPS Golden Ointment

I got this saviour when Priceline had a skincare sale. Usually I wouldn't reach for this as it's so pricey. I think the packaging is so luxurious and pretty with the lemony background and golden font. My oh my, this stuff is da bomb! I use this every night before going to bed on my lips and the next morning my lips feels super moisturised and smooth. I love a good multi-purpose product and this is it. This is not only great for your dry lips but also great for any dry areas on your body, such as those horrible cracked heels. The consistency is very thick and greasy. If you choose to use this on your hands or feet, I'd recommend wearing gloves or socks before bed. This product is very nourishing and it contains all natural goodies in it that is very beneficial for the skin. I find that the smooth moisturised feeling lasts for majority of the day, which is pretty darn amazing.
Indeed Labs Hydraluron Serum
INDEED LABS Hydraluron Serum

Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably have heard bloggers raved highly of this product 24/7. I don't blame them. This product deserve its own spotlight. I have to admit though, when I first used it, I didn't think it did anything to my skin. However after using it for a month, I have noticed that my skin constantly feels plump and hydrated. It felt like I had drank gallons of water to achieve that, but really it was all because of this product. It minimizes my pores and leaves my skin feeling baby smooth. I use this before my moisturiser, and it just helps absorbs the product into the skin really well. It's a clear gel consistency and isn't sticky at all. It is definitely great if you're going into the drier, cooler Winter months!

Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner
BENEFIT They're Real Push-Up Liner

Another well talked about product within the blogger-sphere. I feel like you either love it or you hate it. Personally, I adore it. The first time when I used it, I fell heads over heels for it. It is much faster doing the wing liner look with this than with my other gel liner. It is so opaque black and it doesn't budge for the entire day. The struggle is real when you try to remove this. I don't own the Benefit remover which I should probably invest in to make my life easier but meh. I think that if you're a pro at applying eye-liner, then you are better off saving a few bucks not purchasing this. After using it a few times, I find that a lot of product is wasted. Sometimes, too much product comes out and you have to get rid of it otherwise it just clumps up. Other than that, I'm quite happy with it.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stingray
STILA Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Stingray

I have been searching high and low for an eye liner that stays on the waterline and tightline, and I'm happy to say that I have finally found it! I have been using this for tightlining, which is a step that I never skip to give an illusion of fuller lashes and define my eyes. It honestly doesn't budge at all. I really like this packaging, where it doesn't require me to sharpen it. It glides on very easily and the colour pay-off is amazing. There are also seven other shades to try out.

Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream
ANTIPODES Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream

This is my current favourite eye cream for good reasons. I feel that it is very nourishing for under my eyes. The light and thin consistency makes it very easy to apply and absorbs nicely into the skin. It's fragrance free which is great for sensitive skin, to avoid any irritation. It's so nice that all the ingredients in this little pot contains all yummy goodness such as; kiwi seeds, avocado, carrot seed oil and aloe gel. I have noticed that my under eye area looks slightly brighter and my panda eyes have slightly reduced. Yay to that! The price tag is pretty heavy but a little goes a long way. This will definitely lasts you a while and is definitely worth the money.

T2 Tea Cup
T2 Tea Cup

To round up my August faves, I thought I would throw in a random item that I have been obsessed with. It is my uber cute tea cup from T2! Just look at it! Very Alice in Wonderland-esque. When I saw the monochromatic display in the shop, my eyes were wide open. It was love at first sight and I just had to get it. Impulse purchase? Yes. Regrets? Never!

SAYONARA WINTER! It's been fun.

Girlies!! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Spring! Or so it seemed.. I'm typing this post up whilst it's raining outside..typical Melbourne weather. Nonetheless, the last couple of days have been absolutely gorgeous. Perfect Spring weather. So my friend and I definitely took advantage of that and decided to have a girls day out.

Instead of shopping at the mall, we decided to stroll along the town and enjoy the sunshine that came out to greet us. There were all these unique little boutiques that we discovered. I made a little cheeky purchase and bought a new Seafolly bikini. Hurry up, Summer!

Shirt- H&M
Pants- Glassons
Flats- Vincci
Bag- Zara
Sunglasses- Cotton On

It was so nice to not have to be bundled up in knit wear and in something more lightweight. I absolutely adore the floral shirt. I think the print is super fun and the material felt so nice against my skin. I decided to tucked the shirt into the pants, to give it more of a polished and sophisticated look. I think it would look super chic with a pair of heels but i'm all about comfort. Shopping in heels? That's torture..

Do you like my new shades? I actually bought these babies on the day because I forgot my other pair at home and I didn't want to squint and look even more you know.. But seriously, how cute are they?! I love the colour of the sunglasses rim. I thought it suited my outfit perfectly and added a nice pop of colour to the overall outfit. Ten dollars well spent.

Shopping is quite a workout, let me tell you. So naturally, we had to refueled by grubbing on some delicious food. We went to this authentic Italian restaurant, where the waiters spoke Italian to one another. I felt like I was in Italy for a few moments...If only. As you can see from the photo above, we went with the healthy option and had a nice bowl of salad. Don't let my photography trick you..we also had a giant delicious pizza to share.

Of course, we can't leave without indulging in some dessert. We had this Nutella goodness, which is pretty much puff pastry filled with Nutella with a side of Vanilla ice-cream. It was heavenly.

Shoutout to B, for being a trooper of a photographer and taking these photos for me. Life is so much easier when you have a personal photographer. Thank you girlie!

OUTFIT | Polka Dots & Knits

You know what they say, less is more.
This outfit is simple, yet chic and I LOVE it!
I mixed a plain, white scoop neck top, my new favourite polka dots jeans, with a cozy oversized cable knit cardigan, paired with some cute booties and my everyday bag.

Top- Cotton On
Oversized Cardigan- H&M
Polka Dots Denim Jeans- Dotti
Ankle Boots- Famous Footwear
Bag- Zara

If you know me well, you will know that I have an slight obsession with anything polka dots. When I saw these denim jeans at Dotti, I just couldn't not walk out of the shops without purchasing them. I always have a hard time finding a pair of jeans that would fit me well. I tried these on, and they actually fit quite nicely on me. The length is a little long [yay for being a short..], but it's all good. Just tuck it into the booties and you're good to rock 'n' roll!

I absolutely love this cable knit cardigan from H&M. I feel like I'm snuggled up in a huge cozy blanket when I wear this. It's so comfy! At first, I was bummed out that all the small sizes were out of stock but with this, you can get away it with it being a size bigger. I like how this falls onto the body- the back is shorter than the front. I thinks this cardi is a statement piece in itself, as it has a really nice braided knitted pattern and the fringes on it, which I think is really unique. With that, I let it be the main focus of the outfit and not accessorizing too much.

A Basic Beanie: Four Different Looks

Hey girlies! When Winter comes around to greet us, you gotta be prepare. Some days the wind is so strong, your hair is raping your face [you pretend that you're in a hair commercial but no]...mmmhmm it ain't cute. So when times like these happens, beanies come in very handy. I never used to wear a beanie because I was very pedantic with how my hair looks. However, this season I've been spotting so many cute beanies that I just couldn't resist to include it into my outfits for winter. I purchased this very plain and simple black beanie from H&M, which I think compliments different outfits really well. I will now show you how I incoperate it into my outfits.
That Monochromatic Chick
You can never go wrong with the black and white theme. I think I look kinda like a prisoner with the black and white stripes top but it's cool. This is just a classic, casual look. Life isn't always black and white, there's also a grey silver lining to it [ohh, I'm so wise]. Therefore, I incoperated the grey with the knitted, sleeveless cardigan and a knitted infinity scarf. Keep it extra cozy. This look works because the beanie is in the same color family [no, black isn't a color but you know what I'm trying to say], which compliments the whole outfit. If you were to wear a fluro pink beanie, it just wouldn't work. However, if you want to incoperate an accent piece to the outfit, you can accessorize with jewelry. What I have done here, is I have the gold accent on my boots which just adds something extra to the outfit without overpowering it.

Khaki with A Dash of Tartan
Another simple, put together look. Perfect for a casual day out running errands or to Uni. It's so comfy but you still look chic at the same time. I am not a fan of wearing jeans to Uni [Who's with me?]. I pretty much live in pants, leggings or jeggings... The combination of khaki and tartan works very well together in this particular outfit. You want to keep the colours to a minimal, otherwise they will clash against each other. Use black as your base. The beanie just complete the look.

Preppy Meets Edgy

This look is for all you daring girlies out there. It's preppy up top, party time down the bottom with a bit of edginess. I love the contrast between the faux leather and the soft knit. Long/ knee-high boots are perfect for winter and so on trend. Knits can be chunky and bulky to wear. The trick is to pair it with more fitted pieces. Here, I tucked it into the faux leather pencil skirt. I folded the bottom of the sweater in half, instead of rolling it to prevent from looking bulgy. Wearing a nice cotton shirt underneath the sweater adds that preppy touch.
Day to Night Fun

I really like this outfit because it's perfect for both day and night time. I think adding a cute pair of tights like the sparkly ones I have on makes the outfit extra fun. A classic trench coat is a must to not only keep you warm but it's also a versatile piece. Whether you choose to drape it over your shoulders, or layering up, you will be sure to look chic. Black or Navy trench coats will instantly make you look edgier.

There we have it lovelies! I had so much fun putting this little lookbook together. Hopefully I have given you some ideas as to how to incorporate a basic beanie into different outfits. Which look is your fave?
