Hey internet friends! Boy oh boy has it been a while since I last posted?! I'm sincerely sorry that I've been M.I.A these last few weeks. I know I keep using uni as an excuse but really, it's the best excuse I got. With only a few weeks left to the semester, it means crazy amount of workload needed to be done. I mean crazy like three folios to finish, three final pieces to do, garments to be sewn up, pattern making test and final panel assessment to go through. If you're a fashion student, you understand my pain, right? I really want to give my absolute best this year as last year I was barely breathing above the water. I hope you all can understand and forgive me for the lack of posting. I promise that I'll never stop blogging and to post whenever I get a chance.
Anyways, today I will be sharing my April favourites with you all. I tried out quite a few new products last month so lets jump straight into it!

EOS Lip Balms in Sweet Mint & Summer Fruit

Hallelujah! I finally found these babies in Australia! Unfortunately, my expectations of these lip balms wasn't met. After hearing practically everyone raving highly of these lip balms, I was expecting these to be some sort of magical lip products. Honestly, I think the Nivea Honey and Milk lip balm does just as good of a job as the EOS lip balms, if not better. I included these in my favourites because all month, these were the only lip balms I reached for and used. The packaging design itself is definitely a 10/10, full stop. It's so cute and easy to apply. However, I'm not sure if these are the legit EOS lip balms because they weren't in the proper cardboard packaging. When I bought them, they were just sealed in a plastic wrapper individually. Also, the smell of the Sweet Mint isn't that pleasant in my opinion. It smelled like Chinese medicine to me. Does it smell like that to anyone else or is it something wrong with my nose? They are quite moisturising but I do have to reapply every couple of hours. Sightly disappointing with these cuties but I will still continue to use them just cause of the adorable sphere shape packaging.

MAYBELLINE Fit Me Concealer in 20 Sand Sable

One day when I got to class, one of my friends asked me why my eyes were looking purple. I looked at her and thought to myself, "Biatch, keep those rude comments to yourself!".. just kidding hehe I appreciated her telling me straight up. We all need a friend like that. I'm not sure why my under eyes looked purple, maybe I didn't have enough sleep the night before but I know for sure that I put on concealer in the morning. Hmmph..maybe the concealer I was using was old. So during my break, I bought this Fit Me Concealer on a whim. Surprisingly, I actually like it cause I haven't heard a lot of people talk about this concealer. I won't talk too much about it because I will do a review on it soon. All I will say is that I love the consistency and staying power. Great coverage too.

BOURJOIS PARIS Blush in 40 Rose Tea

Wow! This blush is right up my alley. It's a gorgeous dark rosey pink colour with a hint of shimmer. It looks so pretty on the cheeks that it just gives a nice healthy glow. I love the cute little compact packaging, which is great to put in your makeup bag or for travelling. It does come with a brush but i'm not a big fan of it. The brush itself is quite stiff. The blush is not overly pigmented which is good for me, which means you can built it up to your liking. This baked blush has a slight smell to it- it smells like roses, hence the name. The staying power of this blush is great, it lasts a long time throughout the day. I definitely would like to try out the other shades next time.

COVERGIRL Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in 350 Melted Caramel

I've been using this pretty much every single day last month. It's super creamy which makes it easy to apply and blend out when you're in the rush. I use this by itself then apply a matte brown shadow to give my eyes some dimension. The pigmentation is spot on. The colour itself is a taupe bronze colour, which is very similar to Maybelline's Color Tattoo Bad to The Bronze. Be aware that you will need to use a jumbo sharpener to sharpen them. It doesn't crease at all which is great. Very pleased with this product.

I don't even know where to start with this book. It's simply amazing. I read this on the train on my way to and back from uni, which probably wasn't the smartest choice. There have been a few occasions where I had to hold back the tears. You know it's a good book when you can't put the book down. The book is about a cancer patient named Hazel and how her life took an unexpected turn when she meet Augustus, who fought cancer himself. It's interesting to get a perspective of cancer patients' thoughts and their way of dealing with the illness. It's a touching love story between the two that was well written by the one and only, John Green. I do recommend reading this book but please, read it somewhere that is not public to avoid any waterworks. Have some tissues handy.

Also, last month I got to see Jason Derulo at his Tattoo World Tour concert and it was ahhhhmazing! His dance moves and his singing is just perf. I was super jelly that a lucky girl got to be on his back while he did some push ups! I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I've never screamed so much in my life..my poor throat but it was worth it.

That's it lovelies! Until next time..
