In the matter of hours, we will be waving farewell to 2014. It's quite a bitter sweet feeling. I'm excited for what is to come in the new year, but sad that this year has come to an end so quickly.
This year, I will be slaving away on NYE once again but, I'll be celebrating after with my closest friends and partying it up even after midnight strikes. Take that, Cinderella! I thought I'd share some outfit inspiration with you all. I put together these three looks that are perfect for NYE. It's all about standing out on the night, so don't be afraid to go all out!

Classy Lady

I'll definitely be taking inspiration from 'Metallic Vibes', as I feel like going in the casual route this year. Plus after a busy night at work, the last thing I want to do is to wear heels. No, thank you.

That's it from me for this year! I hope you all have a very Happy New Year and let's kick 2015's butt together! Catchya next year, my lovelies!

What are you planning to wear on New Year's Eve and what's one of  your New Year's resolutions?

I want to thank YOU for taking your time to follow/read/comment on my blog. It means so much to me. A big virtual hug to you! ☺

Black and White to White and Red | CHRISTMAS READY!

Only one sleep away till Christmas, who's excited? Me, me, me! I hope you have made it on the "nice" list this year, hehe.
Ten years ago, I celebrated my very first Christmas. Before that, Christmas never existed for me. I was living at my aunt's place at the time, she would have the whole house decorated and even had a real Christmas tree. I was in awe by everything and soaked up all the Christmassy spirit. To me, Christmas time was something magical. As a ten year-old girl, I believed in "Santa". My cousins and I would write letters to the big bearded man, "Santa" and kindly asked for a few presents. Of course, we didn't forget the cookies and milk. What did I ask for as a ten year- old girl, you asked? Stationery. Ten years on, I'm still as obsessed with stationery...
Christmas morning came, you bet I was the first one to be awake. I would be sitting under the Christmas tree among all of the presents, figuring out what mine could be. I would be patiently waiting for everyone else to wake up, so I can open the gifts. When the time has come, I was a very happy child.
The year after, I would do the same thing again and write to "Santa". Maybe I was on the "naughty" list, because "Santa" didn't come... Or maybe, my parents decided I should grow up, hahaha!

Dress| Ally Fashion

Do you have an outfit ready for Christmas? If not, don't fret! Take a look in your wardrobe and work with what you already have. Black and white isn't exactly Christmassy, eh? But red and white most definitely is.

Skirt | Boohoo
Necklace | Jolie & Deen
Bracelet | Colette

Voila!! Just pop a red skirt over the dress and jazz up the outfit with some gold accessories and you're good to go!

In case you are wondering why I am showing so much epidermis in the outfit, is because I live in the southern hemisphere and it's summer here in Australia. I'm incredibly jealous of those of you that have white Christmas. Watching all of the classic Christmas movies doesn't help either. I hope to be able to experience it one day. Make sure you layer up, wear some tights (shimmery ones works well for the occasion) and a cardigan.

My friends wrote me the sweetest cards that had me from smiling from ear to ear. You guys know that I have a card/letter
collection addiction... Is that even a thing?

Essie | Buy Me A Cameo

For me, glitter and sparkle are a must for a Christmas manicure.

One of the things that I'm most excited about Christmas is, gift giving. Surprisingly this year, I finished my Christmas shopping early. Usually, I'm a last minute person. I guess I was organised and had written a list of what I wanted to get for people. Picking out presents that tailored for each individual's taste and seeing their reactions is quite rewarding. Makes me all giddy inside.
Lip | Rimmel's Provocalips in 550 Play With Fire

For ze hair, I went with super loose, effortless waves. As for makeup, I went with the classic black and gold combination and finished off with a classic red lip. This is pretty much the look that I'll be rocking for tomorrow.

What's your Christmas tradition? What did you ask for this Christmas?

A few days ago, I received my very first beauty subscription box. Yippee! Beauty subscription boxes have been very popular among beauty enthusiasts and there's a new kid on the block. Marie Claire came out with their very first parcel last Spring and I heard some great reviews about it. Last season's parcel had some pretty amazing products included, so I couldn't resist not getting my hands on the Summer parcel. Boy, I'm very impressed! The Parcel by Marie Claire is a quarterly, seasonal subscription box, unlike the other subscription boxes which comes monthly. I really like that there are a mixture of high-end and drugstore products included. The products are chosen by the MC editorial team, so you know the products are perfect for the season. Let's take a lookie on what's in this season's parcel..

Woweee! Amazing goodies!☺

There are nine items included in the parcel. Six products are sample size and four are full sized products. Not bad, not bad at all. I know as part of their Christmas special, they included a Max Factor mascara for those whom signed up recently. I signed up a couple of months ago, so I didn't receive a mascara which it's all good.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye
ESTEE LAUDER Advanced Night Repair Eye | RRP $95 | 5ml sample size

This is Australia's number one eye treatment, so it must be the bomb. I have incredibly bad under eyes circles for being a night owl, so a good eye cream is my life saver. I haven't used any Estee Lauder skincare before, but my mumma adore their stuff. I can't wait to try this little guy out!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple
PHILOSOPHY Purity Made Simple | RRP $15 | 30ml Sample size

I was so excited when I saw this in the parcel. I have been wanting to try out Philosophy products for awhile now, as it's a very popular brand. I like that it is a 3-in-1 cleanser that claims to remove make-up, dissolve dirt, tone and lightly hydrate your skin. Does it remove water-proof makeup though? Hmmm, will have to find out...

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Trio
JOHN FRIEDA Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo and Conditioner | RRP $15 each |44ml Sample size
Fine To Full Blow-Out Spray | RRP $16.99 | 29ml Sample size

My hair is quite flat, so the words 'luxurious volume' gets a big, fat tick of approval from me. Va-Va-Voom hair? Yes, please!!

Jergens Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser
JERGENS Ultra Healing Body Moisturiser | RRP $5.99 | 100ml Full size

It's great to see Jergens products are now available in Australia. Welcome, Jergens! I have already used this moisturiser a few times since I got it, and I love it so far. It makes my skin feels silky smooth and it doesn't have that greasy feeling at all. Oh, it smells really nice as well.

Revlon Age Defying CC Cream
REVLON Age Defying CC Cream | RRP $26.95 | 30ml Full size

I already have this product that I received from the Melbourne Show bag. The shade I got was 'light', so I was happy when I was given the 'medium' shade from The Parcel. Now, I can mix the two shades together to get a somewhat better match for my complexion. Happy days!

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant
ELIZABETH ARDEN Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant | RRP $25

Okay, this states fragrance free but dang it smells too funky for my liking. The smell is quite strong. I applied a little amount on the back of my hand to test it out, and I like the illuminating sheen that it gives. It is a multi- purpose product that can be used as an ointment, or it is recommended to be mixed in with your foundation for a dewy glow. Despite the smell, I will give this a try and hopefully the smell doesn't linger throughout the day.

Essie Fifth Avenue & Top Coat
ESSIE Nail Polish in Fifth Avenue | RRP $16.95 Full size
All in One Top Coat | RRP $17.95 | 13.5ml Full size
The nail colour, 'Fifth Avenue' is such a beautiful shade. It's a perfect pop of colour for summer! My holy grail top coat is the Sally Hansen's Insta Dri Anti- Chip Top Coat. I'm intrigued to see how it compares to the Essie top coat.
Overall, I'm pretty impressed with The Parcel. For $25 a box filled with luxury products, I really can't complain. I have already subscribed again, so I look forward to getting the Autumn edit parcel. I definitely recommend this to you guys. Subscribe today, so you don't miss out! They have a Christmas special happening currently, where you will receive a bonus parcel when you sign up for an annual subscription. ☺
Ps. Sorry, The Parcel is only available in Australia, hopefully they will be available internationally sometime in the near future.
What did you think of the Summer Edit parcel? Have you tried any of these products before?

Hellooo lovelies!!

Hello, December! It's officially summer here in Australia and the countdown to Christmas have now started. Can I get a whoop whoop?! I am so excited for Christmas and buying gifts for my loved ones. To me, Christmas is such a jolly, happy time. Although, it's not a massive thing for my family, I still enjoy all the festivity and happy spirit surrounding Christmas. To farewell November, here are some of the things that I loved..
Loreal Glam Bronze La Terra Bronzer

Holy moly, this bronzer is ginormous! This will definitely lasts me for quite a while. I believe there's a smaller version of this but the lady at Priceline told me the bigger one is better. I guess the large quantity of product in this product is to use for both body and face, but I only use this to contour my face. If you want to use up the product, what you can do is to contour some abs on your stomach if you don't have any (like myself..). Seriously though, this product does a great job at contouring. It goes on quite matte on the face and it's buildable. I recommend using a light hand when using this, a little goes a long way. Oh FYI, whilst taking a photograph of this, it dropped and the lid smashed. Luckily, the product didn't get ruined. Phew!

 Loreal Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

This is now my favourite foundation of all. Even though it cost me $56AUD, it's worth every dollar. The two drugstore foundations that I bought prior to this one were both a fail to me. They didn't match my olive skin tone at all. With this foundation, the colour matches my skin perfectly and it makes my face look so darn good. It's quite a thick consistency but it doesn't feel heavy on the skin at all. A little pea size amount covers my entire face. I love that it gives a semi- dewy finish and also you can get a medium to full coverage with this foundation. It photographs beautifully as well. Ahh, I just can't say enough good things about this foundation. Definitely a HG status for me!

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner

I've always been a big fan of gel liners, but I have now been converted. This liquid liner is the bomb dot com. It's so easy to use and I love how much control you can get with it. The brush tip is thin, so you can get a very precise wing. It is very pigmented and I like that it's smudge free as well. If you're a beginner with liquid liners, I'd recommend this one as it's very easy to use.

Cover Girl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in 340

For Spring, this has been my go-to eyeshadow to use on a daily basis. It's a very pretty champagne pink color. It's super creamy, which makes applying an easy task when you're on the go. It's also great to use as a base and I also use it to highlight the inner corners of my eyes. I like the cool sensation when it goes on the eyes. I don't have a problem with it creasing on me. A great product overall!

Rimmel Lasting finish Colour Rush Balm in 600 On Fire

I've lost count of how many times I have worn this in the last month. I'm obsessed with this vibrant coral- watermelon red colour. I'm the girl that prefers stain balms because I'm lazy when it comes to reapplying my lipstick. I love how long lasting the colour is on the lips. The formula is very moisturizing and not too drying after a few hours of wear. Even after drinking and eating, the colour will still remain on the lips. Love it!

The Peach Box Pearls Earrings

I'm a massive fan of pearl earrings and I have a pair that I used to wear all the time. I have only recently started seeing these new ones where there are two pearls on either sides of the earrings. I knew I had to have a pair. They make such a statement. The bigger pearl goes on the back, but I sometime wear it at the front. I wore it to work one time, and I couldn't answer the phone because the pearl was too big. Oops. These would be a great Christmas gift to give to someone girly in your life too. ☺

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso
If you're an avid social media user, you have probably seen this book popping up on your feed. This book is so inspiring to me. Sophia is a bad-ass. She did a lot of bad-ass things, but even when she was at rock bottom she never once threw her hands up and quit. It's her bad-ass attitude that have gotten to where she's at today. The upfront advice in this book will be a slap in the face. If you can't handle some few hard truths, then maybe you shouldn't read this book. You should though, because her honest advice is probably what you need to hear. It's a must read for any young female entrepreneurs out there. Thank you, Sophia!!

Blank Space- Taylor Swift

My oh my! The level of love I have for this song is indescribable. I am obsessed with this song so much, I pretty much know all the words and I have no shame. It is so darn good and the music video is flawless. Ahhh!!

What were some of your November favourites?

Hello beautiful creatures!

Before Spring comes to an end, I thought I would show you ladies my go-to spring makeup routine. I don't sport this eye look everyday because I love my neutral eyeshadows and I usually just wear a one cream eyeshadow on a daily basis. It is also easier to get my makeup done and dusted, instead of fluffing around with the blending of the different eyeshadows (you know the feels right, makeup lovers?). However, I do love the pop of colour on this eye-look which is quite fun and you can never go wrong with a bright coral red lippy for spring.
Let's get rollin'!
1. Not priming is a makeup crime for me. It helps keep your makeup in place for the day and smooth out your pores. It also acts like a canvas/base for the foundation.
2. Depends on your own personal preference, I always do my brows in the beginning. I brush them through with the brush then fill them in with the pencil. I then go over them with an eyebrow gel to set them in place. Tip: If your hair is dark, go a shade or two lighter on your brows and vice versa, if you have lighter hair, go a shade or two darker.
3. Time to conceal those designer bags! I also like to highlight under the eyes, down the nose and chin as well.
4. My current HG foundation is the Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation. It makes my skin look flawless which gets two thumbs up from me. I like how it's semi dewy, which gives a healthy glow to my complexion. A little goes a long way with this foundation and depends on the method of applying it, you can get a sheer to full coverage.
5. If I don't powder my face afterwards, my face WILL shine bright like a diamond and not the good kind. So to avoid that, I apply powder to ze T-zone. I have gone through so many of the Dream Matte much love for it!
6. For spring and summer time, it's time to pretend to look like a bronze goddess. I usually just do the "E" motion on both sides of my face.
7. I have quite a large face so to give an illusion of a smaller face (and nose), I like to contour. Time to do the fish face... how flattering, right? But it does the trick.
8. For the cheeks, I've been really liking using a soft pink, peachy blush by Canmake- just to add a subtle color on the cheeks.
9. To give myself a healthy glow, I like to highlight my cheekbones and sometimes on my cupid's bow just to make my lips look fuller. It's kinda pointless, cause it gets rubbed off anyway..
10. For the base of the eyes, I like to use a pink cream shadow then go over it with a shimmery pink powder eyeshadow. Then, I use a matte brown shadow for the crease to blend the eyeshadows together.
11. For the bottom lash-line, I use a aqua color, then I went over it with a purple eyeshadow. I really like the two-tone effect that it gives. I also highlighted the inner corners of my eyes with the pink cream eyeshadow stick. Under my brow bone, I use the Mary-Lou Manizer. Note: I should've applied a white eyeliner on my waterline to make the colours pop even more but I forgot. Oops.
12. Time to make my eyes look somewhat even with the eye-liner. I've been loving lining my eyes horizontally rather than winging it upwards. Then I apply a couple of coats of mascaras. I personally don't put any mascara on my bottom lashes because it looks funky on my eyes for some odd reason. Not cute. After that, a step that I never ever skips is tight-lining. It makes such a difference!

Apply some lip balm..
13.Then BAM! I love me some bright coral watermelon- red lippy. I love this lip stain balm so much not only because it's a gorgeous color, but also because I'm lazy when it comes to re-applying my lipstick. The colour doesn't fade for so long. Happy days!

'You're invited to...'

At some point, you will be invited to some special events. Whether it is a formal, homecoming, prom, wedding or graduation, it's time to look like a million dollar, baby! You want to get heads turning, don't you?
I feel that the dress is the main focus and it needs to be eye-catching. For a special occasion, I usually like to wear something a little more fun. Not just a solid colour dress. I love strapless, sweetheart neck-line dresses. This might be a little odd, but one of my favourite feature of my body is my collar-bone. Weird huh? But I do like to show it off. I'm also a big fan of princess-like dresses. Who doesn't fantasize about living the fairy-tale life and being a princess? Just me? Okay..

Are you drooling over those stunning dresses yet? When I saw these dresses on the Aviva Dress site, I suddenly had the heart shaped eyes on. All the dresses are absolutely gorgeous. If only my bank account was big enough... Aviva Dress is the world's leading UK based online store, specializing in special occasion dresses.

No worries, Aviva Dress will have your best interest at heart and will make sure you are satisfied with their services.
What I am most impressed, is the fact that you can customise the dresses according to your size and colour of your choice. Some of their dresses look like designer dresses that are very similar to Eli Saab's and Zuhair Murad's creations, except you don't need to pay the hefty amount of money for them. Hollahh! Aviva Dress are always offering amazing discounts, sales and even free shipping! So you can save the extra dollars to get your hair done for the special day. If for whatever reason you have a problem with your dress, you'll be covered with a 12 month warranty. You can return the dress and they will immediately fix or replace the dress for you.
Have I convinced you enough yet? If you have a special event coming up, definitely take a peek at their site and start drooling shopping.

I hope you gorgeous ladies have a magical time at your special event. Which style of dresses do you like best?

*This post is a collaboration with Aviva Dress. The dress in my photos is my own dress that I purchased myself (fun fact: I actually worn this dress at my year 12 formal two years ago). I only recommend products or services I believe will be good for my readers! All opinions are my own.
